Ducati has unveiled two carbon e-enduro models for 2027, the DM-160 R and DM-170 RR, built around the new Avinox M2S drive system. The launch gives the motorcycle brand a shared platform with two distinct trail- and gravity-focused configurations.
The M2S mid-drive is rated at up to 1,300 W and 130 Nm, rising to 150 Nm in boost mode. Both bikes pair it with an 800 Wh Avinox FP800 battery and connected functions including GPS and eSIM support. Three flip chips allow riders to alter suspension progression, frame geometry and wheel setup.
The €7,990 DM-160 R uses 29-inch wheels and 160 mm of travel at both ends. Its build includes a RockShox Zeb Select fork, Super Deluxe Select+ shock, SRAM Eagle 90 transmission and Maven brakes. Ducati lists a weight of 23.4 kg in size S2 without pedals.
The €9,490 DM-170 RR moves toward gravity riding with 170 mm of travel, a 29/27.5-inch mullet configuration and Öhlins suspension. SRAM GX AXS shifting and Maven Bronze brakes complete the specification, while the quoted weight is 22.8 kg.
Beyond Ducati’s own range, the announcement is another notable adoption of Avinox by a premium European brand. It also shows how high-output motors and large batteries are increasingly being combined with adjustable chassis platforms rather than fixed-purpose e-MTB designs.
